It's a note that I took as I read the book that shows on the left. We would read a book together as we practice thinking critically and analytically about what we just read. Ms.Sutton (my Contemporary Theme teacher) gave instructions on what to take note for on the posted notes. Typical notes instructions include: write down 4 facts from the pages that we just read, or jog down your thoughts and opinions on this matter.
Assignments like this practiced my critical thinking skills which offered me a way to look at the world in a unique angle, and to be expore, discover my own identity in the society.
Taking notes as we did in this class organize information as I was reading. For example, for the particular notes as the one on the left, I learned that regardless of how many miserable things we saw or experienced, all human being want to be reminded about human goodness that lies underneath us.

This is a Think Tank Projects we made to demonstrate and express our opinions on certain matter. From the start of the school year, my group has done two projects: Immigration Project and Stop Bullying Project. One complete project consists of a Prezi presentation, a video, a website page, and a word cited page. We needed to do many research from the internet and books that, along with our opinions, incorporate them into the video and Prezi.
The Think Tank Projects helped greatly in modifying my attitudes, as for the first time I started to think: What are the challenges that all human beings are facing in modern society? What are the methods to change them? And what do all humans shared in common? I I found myself began to be more proactive toward issues around me, instead of sitting back and be reluctant trying to make differences in my community.
Just as the notes, the Think Tank practiced my critical thinking ability. In addition, researching these current issues gave me a clear view of the society's problems.
